Thank you so much for being here! Confident Children specialises in helping children with Selective Mutism (SM).

We have been solely working with children with SM for over a decade and we are so (so!) passionate about helping children with SM be able to speak in situations they previously were unable to. We have supported thousands of children with SM, and yet still the first time a child talks to their teacher, best friend, grandparent, answers a question from a stranger brings us... so much joy! It is why we continue to do what we do. If you have a child with SM, you are in the right place.

We can't wait to help you and help your child to overcome SM.

ABOUT LUCY

Lucy Nathanson is a Child Therapist, Selective Mutism Specialist, international speaker, best selling author and founder of Confident Children (this website!).

Lucy worked with her first child with SM back in 2010. Following this experience she became obsessed with helping children with SM. She began making YouTube videos to spread awareness of SM, dispel myths and help children with SM get the support they deserve. She has since reached thousands of children with SM, developed a team of therapists (so we can reach even more families!), has written 5 books on SM (the latest was number 1 on the Amazon Bestseller list!), she has travelled the world working with children with SM and has spoken at conferences on SM. Lucy's mission is to reach as many children as possible through her videos, books and through sessions with the Confident Children team.
